Yes. There will be discounted rooms available at several local hotels. Note: room block discounts are typically discontinued 30 days before the event.

Yes. Please use the parking lot off of Glen Avenue and use the pedestrian cross walk to enter the building to Volunteer Registration.

Yes, there is a specific entrance for volunteers. Volunteers and Patients enter in two separate lines on different sides of the Center. The volunteer entrance is across from the parking lot on Glen Avenue and will be clearly marked.

Yes, at the beginning of each day and during the shift overlap on both Clinic Days your Department Lead will instruct you. A detailed Newsletter on what to expect will go out about a week prior to the event. Please see your Lead or the Command Center desk onsite if you have questions.

Volunteers must be age 18, so yes, family members are welcome if they meet the age requirements. All volunteers must be registered in advance before entering the clinic operations.

Clinical volunteers should wear scrub pants and a t-shirt and will be provided with disposable gowns. Non-clinical volunteers should wear neat, comfortable clothing and sneakers/closed-toes. ALL volunteers will be given a E.S.M.O.M. t-shirt at check-in and MUST be worn over your other clothing as they are color-coded by assignment. You will also receive a name badge which must be visible at all times.

Yes, of course. When you arrive onsite, choose a treatment chair and work together.

No. We are not responsible for personal items. Please bring only what you can wear or keep with you at all times.

Yes. Breakfast and lunch are provided. We also have water, coffee, beverages and snacks available throughout the day.

Dental personnel need to bring safety glasses and any loupes/magnifiers that are normally used. Chair-side electrical outlets will be available if needed. Each dental unit will have a portable Aseptico dental light but headlamps are helpful. You may bring ... but we recommend that you DO NOT, We are not responsible for lost of damaged handpieces or personal instruments. If you do bring your personal equipment , please ensure that they are labeled properly ahead of the event. Equipment that will be provided includes handpieces, surgical instruments, filling material, exam gloves, gauze/cotton rolls, local anesthetics, etc. Please note that dental personnel are welcome to bring any equipment/supplies not described above. Please note that procedures and protocols will be distributed to volunteers prior to your shift.
