About

Mission of Mercy is a free adult dental clinic provided by volunteer dental professionals and a volunteer staff of several hundred people.

All dental services will be provided by licensed dentists and hygienists who are donating their services for this event.

Our Story

The Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy was first held in 2013. The second event took place in 2015,and the third occurred in 2019.

Over those three events, over 3.1 million dollars in services were provided with the aid of over 4,300 volunteers who gave over 36,500 combined hours of their time.

Who are we serving?

According to the CareQuest Institute for Oral Health, an estimated 68.5 million adults nationwide do not have dental insurance. This rate is likely to grow to 91.4 million by the end of 2023 for a host of reasons.

So who are our patients at the ESMOM?

They are a our friends, service industry co-workers, church and community members & veterans.

Given our rural region, the shifts in Medicare and Medicaid insurance coverage, as well as the impact of inflation on household budgets, Mission of Mercy patients are mothers, fathers, grandparents, brothers & sisters who are often in pain.

It could even be you.

And you would be welcomed.
